Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix or basic vanilla cake
  • Zest and Juice from 2 large lemons
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons lemon extract
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup basic vanilla icing or store bought vanilla icing
  • Zest from 1 large lemon
  • 24 oz white chocolate for coating
  • 1/2 About 1/2 cup crushed lemon drop candies, for garnish

Step 1

1. Mix together the ingredinets for making a vanilla cake. After the ingredients are fully combined, stir in the lemon zuest and juice, and lemon extract.

2. Follow the instructions for baking the cake.

3. While the cake is cooling, prepare the icing or open your store bought icing. Stir in teh lemon zest with the icing before incorporating with the crumbled cake.

4. After the cake has cooled, crumble, mix with icing, form into balls, roll, and freeze for at least 2 hours.

5. After the cake balls are dipped in white chocoalte, drizzle them with fine lines. Sprinkle with the crushed lemon drops.
