Brining a Turkey

Brining a turkey goes a long way to ensuring a moist, flavourful bird.

Ingredients

  • Table Salt
  • Water

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve 1 Cup table salt per gallon of cold water.
Place turkey without the neck or giblets, into a large stock pot or bucket and cover with the brine for 4 hours.
If you would like to brine overnight, cut back salt to 1/2 Cup per gallon.
