Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 each eggs
  • 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules or espresso
  • powder, dissolved in 1T hot water
  • and cooled to room temp
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon grated orange peel(optional)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate covered toffee bits

Step 1

PREHEAT oven to 350. Grease 13x9 baking pan.

COMBINE flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in large bowl; set aside.

BEAT butter and sugars with mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add coffee mixture, vanilla and orange peel if desired; beat well. Stir in chocolate chips and toffee bits.

POUR batter evenly into pan. Bake 25-35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely and cut into bars.
