Very easy to make, taste wonderful, I cut the boneless chicken into cubes before placing in crockpot. Served over egg noodles. My husband loved it and that means it has to be good!
I made this for my husband's grandmother and she said it was good. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT A COMPLEMENT THAT REALLY IS. She never likes anything I cook! It was very tender and a great way to serve chicken. I think you could use many other sauces and soups and make lots of variations on this dish.
I use broccoli cheese soup. I cook extra broccoli and the sauce is very good over it too. I serve my chicken and sauce with rice.
I used 1 lb of chicken and reduced the soups to 1 can of the cream of chicken and 1 can of cheddar cheese soup. Added minced garlic rather than the powder. Cooked on low 6 hours. The chicken turned out a little dry even though it was totally covered by by the sauce. Think I should have reduced the cook time to 4 or 5 hours. Sauce was still good!
My husband loved it! Served over noodles. However, watch the chicken in the crockpot and make sure it's always covered. The tops that were sticking out were dry(my fault). Heard hubby bragging to daughter how good it was. Thank you.
I put this in the crockpot yesterday before work. When I came home, it smelled so good. It tasted great. DH said it was good about 4 times during dinner. Thank you for posting this great recipe.
This is a standard on my menus during cold-weather months......I generally use the Nacho Cheese soup instead for a bit more flavor....and cut the chicken into strips.....Excellent Recipe!
Thought it was too easy to be true. Our family gave it a thumbs up!! Very tender chicken & the sauce is excellent with noodles.
I can only ditto what the others have said. This was a terrific dish. I had enough leftovers for a cheesy chicken open face hot sandwich for dinner tonight. Great crockpot recipe.
I don't know why this recipe scored so highly in the reviews. It was bland. It lacked flavor. next time I would add bacon, onions, red pepper, green pepper.
My taste buds sure must be different than the other people who commented on this recipe. My husband and i thought it was bland. We wont try it again.
This was so good and easy! I substituted chicken thighs because the boneless skinless breasts are so expensive! I also used broccoli cheese soup and served it over a bed of rotini noodles. I kicked it up a notch with Emeril's Essence spice! This will be made at least once a month here!
This is an awesome recipe! First of all, it is sooo easy to make & second, it tastes delicious! I use broccoli-cheddar soup in place of the cheddar cheese soup. This time I am also adding some frozen peas & corn. The sauce is so good (and plentiful) that I'll bet dumplings would go great with this.
Very easy and very good. I used broccoli/cheese soup instead of just cheese soup. Even my very picky 11 yr old liked it and she doesn't like very much. I will make this again!!!
I couldn't wait to try this after reading all the reviews! I made it tonight and my family LOVED it! It was very good and the chicken just fell apart like roast beef! I will continue to make this for my family! Thank you!!
This is the recipe that I just christened my new crockpot with, and it turned out just as everyone said it would: moist, creamy/cheesy, and tasty. I goosed it up with some cayenne, and cooked it at low for 6 hours and 15 minutes, and served it with penne noodles and green beans. Everyone at the dinner table loved it! I will definitely make this again :-) It was very easy, too!
Very easy and very good!
This was good and very easy to prepare. I cooked the chicken on low for only four hours because of what some of the others had said about the full 6-8 hours' making them a little dry, and they were moist and delicious.
I made this recipe last night. Everyone in my family liked it. It has a very good taste, I served it over Kluski noodles Very tasty, very simple. I'll be making this one again.
This was good .. But i had to thicken the sauce a little ..
This recipe couldn't get much easier! It was very good... Thanks for posting it.
Absolutely wonderful! I have a large (and very picky) family to cook for and they all loved it! It was cheap an easy to make. Great for low-budget tasty dinners.
I made this for supper tonight and I can not believe how tender it is. I love this meal!0
Upped the garlic powder a bit and followed the rest of the recipe. Served it with macaroni noodles, which went great with just the leftover sauce. Great comfort food.
wish I could give you more than 5 stars for this one...I stirred some cooked rotini pasta into the pot just before serving, and it was an absolute SMASH HIT!!! My bf loved it--broken leg and all, he still cleaned his plate and said " Honey, this one's a keeper!!" (That, coming from him, is more of a compliment than you can imagine!) Thanks for this simple and delicious dinner..we loved it!
We've made this several times now, and I just realized I never reviewed it. The recipe as called for, is a little bland, but, as I always read the comments here before I make anything, I knew what to do to make it great. We used cut up boneless chicken breasts, a can of Fiesta cheddar, a can of regular cheddar and a can of cream of chicken soup. We also add mushrooms, lots of extra garlic and some red pepper flake. Serve with egg noodles and you've got a delicious, extremely filling meal.
It was very easy, but not quite flavorful enough for me. Then again, I am a Texan and can't deal with bland food. I added some real cheese and some Tony Chachere's and it was quite good with those additions!
I tried this after all the high ratings and was disappointed. These ingredients are all so yummy why didn't it have much flavor? I added more garlic and still no flavor. I won't give up though..next time I add some wine, herbs and veggies. I think it has potential, but for me, this wasn't quite "it". Not inedible by far, but just more basic than my tastebuds like.
This was great. I doubled the recipe so we could have leftovers. Also, I used 98% fat free cream of chicken soup. Cooked it on high for 3 1/2 hours then turned it to low for 1 hour and it was perfect. (My wife forgot to plug in the crock pot so there was no time for low. Hee hee.) The sauce was thin but really tasty. Served this over 3 color corkscrew noodles with steamed broccoli on the side. Great meal and low in fat! Thanks!
I made this recipe for Sunday dinner. The kids (4,6,8)and my husband all loved it. I used more chicken breasts than called for, so I added another can of cream of chicken soup plus about 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. We served it on mashed potatoes. I asked my family to rate it and they all gave it 5 stars!
Bland, disappointing especially given the posted reviews. Family unimpressed; will not make again.
We really liked this, but based on some reviewer comments we did make some changes. First of all I seasoned salt and peppered the chicken on the bottom of the crockpot. (chicken was placed frozen). Next I used one can cream of chicken, one can cheddar cheese soup and one can of cream of broccoli. (That is what I had on hand) I also doubled the garlic because we love garlic. Cooked on low for about 6 hours. We served this over spaghetti squash and topped with some shredded Mexican Pepperjack cheese. Chicken came out tender with none of it overcooked and the sauce was amazing.
This was okay. I used 2 cans of Fiesta Cheddar Soup and 1 can of Cream of Mushroom. I also added 1 can of Fiesta Corn for some veggies and served it over bowtie noodles. My husband thought it was great, I thought it was just alright. Super easy, probably won't make again though.
Tasty! I enjoyed how easy this was to make. I followed advice from other reviewers and added some chili powder and a can of green chilies. Also used 1 can of cheddar cheese and 2 cans of cream of mushroom (since that's what I had). And I put some Velveeta in there because I love cheese. In 7 hours the chicken was so tender it fell apart when I stirred. Easy and yummy. Thanks!
This is true comfort food! I used one can of mushroom soup (all I had) and one can of cheese soup. Served it over pasta with a few grinds of four pepper blend and it was great. Oh, I did add about two tablespoons Pet milk as I was afraid it would be too dry with only two cans of soup. Thanks so much for posting.
Based on previous reviews, I switched it to 1 can of cream of chicken, 1 can of fiesta cheese and 1 can of cheddar cheese and served over rice. A bit bland for my taste, but my picky husband and 5 year old son really liked it. Easy to make so will definitely make it again.
This wasn't a great hit with my family. I served it over giant biscuits because the sauce, to me, tasted like a bland gravy. There was no 'cheesy' to it. I don't know what went wrong because I followed the recipe exactly. Maybe it's because we are accustomed to having more spice in our food?
This was good, not spectacular. I probably won't make often, but I will make again. It is easy, uses simple ingredients, and was well received by the kids. I did not have the cheese soup, but I did have the fiesta cheese soup and used that instead. I think this gave it good flavor. I also used 1/2 tsp. garlic powder because of all the reviews of this being bland. Had I not used the fiesta soup, this probably would have been very bland. I do have a newer crockpot that cooks faster. This was done in 4 hours on low. I served this over whole wheat rotini noodles.
Since I live in an apartment alone I decided to make this with just 3 large chicken breasts and I only added one can of each soup. I made noodles and green beans to go along with it. While this was good I kept feeling like something was missing and the taste was good but not something I would ever crave. I probably won't make this again, but I did enjoy trying it.
This recipe gets 5 stars because my DH and the kids thought it was 5 stars and because it made the house smell good. I gave it 4 stars for taste and 5 stars for ease of prep so in the end 5 it is. It is super easy to make and the sauce is good. I made it as written but next time will do some add ins like peas, mushrooms and/or onions. It is comfort food. I couldn't really taste either of the soups but they complement each other nicely. The lack of seasoning was a problem for me but the guys loved it that way. I served it on top of egg noodles and along side vegetables. Good meal.
This is super easy, smells great while it's cooking and tastes delicious. I serve it over egg noodles with a salad and crescent rolls. My 8-year-old daughter gives this a "magnificent" rating and her friends love it too. Thanks for recipe!
