Ingredients

  • 16 oz elbow macaroni or small shells (uncooked)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion (diced)
  • 1 green bell hepper (diced)
  • 1 cup frozen corn*
  • 1 cup frozen peas*
  • 1 26oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine OR water
  • 1 tbs dried parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Step 1

Prepare noodles as directed; drain.


In a large skillet, cook beef with onion and bell pepper until meat is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender; drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce. Use the red wine (or water) to rinse the jar to get all the sauce. Pour the wine (or water) into the pan. Stir in corn, peas, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir well and cook on medium heat 20 - 25 minutes, or (if using frozen) until vegetables are thawed and tender.
