  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup lowfat plain yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • Nonstick spray

Instructions
Position rack in center of oven and preheat oven to 350°F.

Whisk cocoa powder, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Then use a wooden spoon to stir in yogurt and vanilla until smooth but quite thick.

Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick spray. Spread thick batter into pan, evenly to the corners.

Bake 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out with a few moist crumbs attached. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before cutting into 16 squares, 2 x 2 inches each.
