Step 1
Sift dry ingredients. Cram the butter and sugar. Add the eggs and the anise, then the flour. Knead onto a suface till it is a nice smooth dough. Make 1 inch roll, then cut unto about 6 inches to form a figure 8. Bake @350 for about 6-8 minutes or until the bottom of the cookies is just starting to brown. Cool and frost with an anise flavored powder sugar frosting.
