Soft Oreo Cookies

Great for a bake sale or large event. May be made ahead of time and frozen until event.

Ingredients

• Cookies:
• 2 packages chocolate cake mix (can use any flavor)
• 1 1/2 cup melted shortening
• 4 eggs
• Frosting:
• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
• 1/4 cup softened margarine
• 2 teaspoons flavoring (almond, vanilla, peppermint. etc.)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together. Scoop onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 350ºF. for 9 minutes.
Cool then frost. Place 2 cookies together with frosting in middle (like an Oreo).


Frosting:
Cream cream cheese and margarine together. Add powdered sugar and flavoring. Enjoy
