Ingredients
- For 2 crusts:
- 2 c sifted flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 3/4 c shortening
- 6 T cold water
- For 1 crust:
- 1 c sifted flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/3 c shortening
- 3 T cold water

Preparation
Step 1
Measure flour, salt, and shortening into large mixing bowl (small for 1 crust). Mix at low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl constantly with rubber scraper. Add water; continue mixing scraping bowl until flour is moistened and dough begins to cling to beaters (about 10 seconds). Remove dough from bowl and proceed as usual.
