White Chicken Chili/Tammy

Ingredients
- 1 lb large white beans
- 8 cups chicken broth
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 medium onions (chopped)
- 1 T. Oil
- 2 cans (4 oz size) mild green chilies, chopped
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 4 cups cooked chicken breasts (diced)
- 3 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese
- salsa
- sour cream
- 1 pint half and half

Step 1
Directions:
Combine beans, broth, garlic and half the onions in a large pot and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer until beans are soft ( 2 hrs or more), adding more water or broth as necessary.
In a skillet, saute remaining onions in oil until tender. Add chilies and seasonings and mix thoroughly. Add to bean mixture. Add chicken and simmer 1 hr. Add half and half just before serving. I mixed in a small amount of corn starch to thicken. I made a double batch for Super Bowl and sent everyone home with leftovers.
