- 4 ounces tequilla
- 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup or agave nectar
- ice
- margarita salt

Step 1
After squeezing out lime juice, run the lime wedge around the rim of two margarita glasses to moisten. Dip the rims into margarita salt to thoroughly cover. Add ice to the glasses.
Combine tequila, lime juice, cointreau, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake for 10 seconds. Strain and pour into the margarita glasses. Garnish with a lime wedge or slice.
