Ingredients
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 C. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 C. flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 C of chopped walnuts

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325. In a small saucepan set over low heat or a double boiler; remove from heat immediately . Stir well.
Pour the contents of the saucepan into a medium mixing bowl and stir in the sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
Fold in the flour, salt and chocolate chips; combine well. Pour into a greased and floured 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake for about 35-40 minutes, until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.
EXTRA: add peanuts or crushed macadamia nuts.
Also, extracts can be added such as a splash of almond or coconut or mint or brandy or liqueur.
