Ingredients
- 1/2 cup fine, dry breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 cup (4 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese

Step 1
Combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip chicken in egg and coat with crumb mixture. Preheat electric skillet to 350 degrees F. Add butter and cook chicken about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Arrange green pepper over chicken. Combine next 3 ingredients; pour over chicken. Reduce heat to 220 degrees F. Cover and cook 25-30 minutes or until chicken is tender. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese; cover and cook just until cheese melts.
