Ingredients

    cups sifted all purpose flour

  • 1/2

    cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2

    cup brown sugar

  • 1

    TBSP salt

  • 4

    TBSP cocoa powder

  • 5

    TBSP melted butter

  • 1

    tsp baking soda

  • 1

    tsp white vinegar

  • 1

    tsp vanilla

  • 1

    cup milk

  • 2/3

    cup mini marshmallows

Directions

Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9" or 10" cake pan. Combine flour, sugars, salt and cocoa in pan and mix carefully to make rich brown "soil." With spoon, make small volcano shape in "soil." Beside it, make a large crater. In large crater pour melted butter to form "lake" Put baking soda in bottom of volcano. Pour vinegar into volcano over the baking soda and watch it bubble and foam. When i t stops erupting, pour vanilla into volcano (with any luck you get mud slides down sides of volcano) Pour milk over entire cake. mix carefully until it looks like a smooth "mud." Scatter marshmallow rocks over the surface. Bake for 35 minutes or until toothpick test in center comes out clean.. Let cool in pan, cut and serve.
