Ingredients
- 2 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c butter or margarine

- 1 c sugar
- 1 c cooked or canned pumpkin (never tried cooked)
- 1/2 c walnuts chopped
- 1/2 c dates or raisins chopped (i use raisins)

- 3 Tbsp butter

- 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 c confectioners sugar
- 4 Tbsp milk
- 3/4 tsp vanilla

Directions
1. Sift flour and baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Cream butter and sugar together. Add pumpkin and egg, beat well. Add flour mix all at once. Stir to obtain a smooth batter, add nut, fruits and vanilla.
2. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 min.
3. FROSTING: Combine butter, milk and brown sugar in saucepan. Heat to boiling and boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool. Stir in confectioners sugar and vanilla. Best when frosted.
