Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen berries
- 6 lemon zest strips

Step 1
Place water and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add berries and lemon zest and bring to a simmer. Cook until berries pop and form a thick syrup, about 5 minutes. Remove zest and strain seeds if desired.
