Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- Half lemon, sliced thin
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 bottle red dinner wine
- (burgundy or claret)

Preparation
Step 1
Dissolve sugar in boiling water in saucepan
Add remaining ingredients
Pour into slow cooker
Heat on low for at least 1 hour, until wine is hot. Do not boil.
Serve from slow cooker into mugs.
