Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• Cookie Dough
• 1/2 cup softened butter
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 1/4 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp cream of tartar
• Icing
• 2 tsp butter
• 1/2 cup icing sugar
• 1/4 tsp vanilla
• 1 1/2 tsp water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325°F

Cookies

Cream together butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Beat well.
Combine dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture.
Roll out on to lightly floured surface 1/4" thick.
Cut into desired shapes and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

Icing

Cream butter, add sugar, vanilla and water. Beat well.
Add water as required.
