Ingredients
- To store:
- Butter 1/2 C
- sugar 1/2 C
- baking powder 1/2 tsp
- ground ginger 1 tsp
- baking soda 1/2 tsp
- cinnamon 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves 1/2 tsp
- molasses 1/2 C
- egg 1
- vinegar 1 TBsp
- all purpose flour 2 1/2 C
- Icing (optional )
- powdered sugar 1C
- milk 1 TBsp
- vanilla 1 tsp
- stir in additional 1 tsp milk to make drizzling consistency
- place in layers separated by wax paper in an air tight container, cover, store at room temp or freeze undecorated cookies

Preparation
Step 1
in vitamix combine:
butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves
then add
molasses, egg, vinegar
pour into bowl
add flour and mix until combined
divide dough in half
cover an chill dough for 3 hours or until easy to handle
on lightly floured surface roll out dough until 1/8 in thick
spray cookie cutter with pam then flour it
then cut out cookies of any desired shape
place 1 inch apart on sprayed cookie sheet
preheat oven 375
cook for 5-6 min or until edges are lightly brown
