Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 2 Tsp. Cream of Tartar 1 1/2 cup plus, 6 Tblsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 Tsp. Salt
  • 2 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Butter, softened

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. In mixer bowl beat butter, shortening, ½ cups sugar and eggs until fluffy. Gradually add flour mixture. In a small bowel combine 6 Tblsp. Of sugar with cinnamon. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll into sugar-cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet and bake 10-12 minutes. Cool. Makes 6 dozen.
