Ingredients
- 1 ham bone {leftover from cooking a ham}
- 4 c. vegetable broth
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
- 2 (16 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans, drained & rinsed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, sliced
- 3 carrots, peeled & sliced
- 2 potatoes, peeled & diced
- 1 T. dried parsley
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients in slow cooker. Cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours, or on high setting 4 to 6 hours.
Taste cooked soup; if needed, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt.
