Ingredients

  • 1/2

    cup (1stick) unsalted butter

  • 1/4

    cup powdered sugar

  • 1/2

    teaspoon vnilla extract

  • 1 1/4

    cups all purpose flour

  • 1/4

    teaspoon salt

  • 9

oz.'s good quality white chocolate(such as Lindt or Baker's)

  • Blue, red and green food coloring

  • 2

    small resealable plastic bags

Directions

Preheat oven to 325@. Using mixer, beat butter in large bowl until light. Gradually beat in powdered sugar. Beat in vanilla. Add flour and salt and mix until just combined. Gather dough into ball; flatten into disk. Wrap disk in plastic and refrigerate until firm, about 3 hours. Roll out daugh on floured work surface to 1/8" thickness, frequently listing and turning dough to prevent sticking. Using a 5" Christmas tree cookie cutter, cut out cookies. Gather dough scraps together. Roll out again and cut cookies. This recipe using a 5" cutter only makes 10. I use smaller cutter's and get about 20. Transfer cookie to 2 large cookie sheets, spacing apart. Bake until cookies begin to rown around edges, about 12-15 min. Cool on baking sheet 5 min. Transfer cookies to racks carefully to cool completely.
