MAPLE TART SQUARES

This is one of my favorite recipes EVER ... my mom has made them for years.. they can be made as squares ... so this is how I make them...

Ingredients

• CRUST:
• 2 cups flour
• 1/3 cup icing sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 1 tsp vanilla
• FILLING:
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup evaporated can milk
• 1 cup graham wafer crumbs
• 1 cup walnuts
• 1 cup coconut
• ICING
• Combine icing sugar, butter, milk and maple flavoring.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix sugar, flour, vanilla and butter. Press into bottom of pan.

Boil sugar, butter and milk. Add crumbs and coconut. Spread on top of shortbread bottom.

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.

Ice with maple icing.
