Ingredients
- 1/2 pkg (16 oz) pasta
- 1/4 c butter
- 1/4 c all purpose flour
- 2 1/2 c 2% milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp red pepper
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
- 1 (10oz) block 2% sharp cheddar, shredded1-2 oz pancetta(bacon) cooked
- 1 (12oz) frozen peas (optional)

Step 1
1) prepare pasta according to pkg directions.
2) meanwhile melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. gradually whisk in flour until smooth; cook whisking constantly, 1 minute. gradually whisk in milk and next 3 ingredients; cook whisking constantly, 8-10 minutes or until thickened. remove from heat.
3) gradually stir in cheddar cheese, stirring until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. add pancetta, peas; stir in hot cooked pasta. serve immediately.
