Ingredients
- 8 oz whole wheat pasta
- 1 1/2 tsp evoo
- 1/2 sm onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 oz thinly sliced ham, into thin strips
- 3/4 c fat free half and half
- 1 c frozen peas, thawed
- 2 tbs grated parmesan cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1)cook pasta. before draining, reserve 1/2 c of liquid. drain, set aside.
2) while pasta is cooking, heat oil in large high sided skillet over medium high heat. add onion, basil, red pepper flakes. cook 2 minutes until onion is translucent.
3) add ham, half and half, pasta liquid. bring to a simmer, cook until flavors blend, sauce thickens (3minutes). add pasta, toss to coat. reduce heat to low, cook 1 minute more. serve hot with cheese.
