Hershey Candy Bar Bars - newspaper
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2-1/4 cups flour
- 1-3 7oz. chocolate Hershey bars
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla, salt and flour and mix well. Divide dough in half. Press half of the dough into the bottom of a well greased 9x13 pan. Place the chocolate bars on top. Pat the remaining dough over the chocolate and press the edges with a fork to seal.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes or until the edges of the crust are browned and the top is still light. Cut while warm. Remove from pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar if desired.
