Ingredients

  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup almonds - chopped
  • 1/4 cup flax seed
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 cup of raisins or other dried fruit

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix first six ingredients in large bowl.

Heat next three ingredients in small pan - whisking occasionally - until warm (may want to increase sauce a bit to make granola clumpy)

Pour warmed sauce over dry ingredients and toss to coat. Turn out and spread into jelly roll pan.

Bake on middle rack until light golden brown. Stir every 5 minutes - should be done in about 15 minutes.

Immediately turn out into another jelly roll pan to stop cooking. Stir in fruit, and then spread evenly in pan. Cool to room temp on wire rack. Loosen with spatula and store in air tight container
