Another quick and easy dinner from Publix Apron's Simple Meals. Under 30 minutes to make. A nice twist on traditional sloppy joes, plus nice touch to add lettuce and tomato.

Ingredients

  • Serve with favorite taco toppings:
  • 1 pound 93% lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25-ounce) packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 4 potato sandwich rolls
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Cchopped tomato
  • Chopped onion

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place large sauté pan on high heat. Place ground beef in pan. Brown 5-7 minutes until meat is brown and no pink remains. Stir frequently and break up meat as it cooks.

2. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover, remove from heat and let stand 4-5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

4. Divide meat mixture between rolls. Top with your lettuce, tomato, onion ... your favorite taco toppings.
