Buttermilk Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c buttermilk
• 1 c oil
• 2 c sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 t baking powder
• 1 t soda
• 1 t salt
• 1 T vanilla
• 6 c flour

Preparation

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl add buttermilk, oil, sugar, and eggs. Mix well. Add baking powder, soda, salt, and vanilla. Add 4 cups flour and mix well. Then add 1/2 c flour at a time and continue to mix well. Cover dough and chill overnight. Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut with your favorite cookie cutter. Bake at 350 for 9-12 minutes or until firm, not brown. Frost with your favorite frosting. Makes about 48 cookies.
