DEE'S NUT BALLS
- 1/2 pound Butter (room temp)
- 4 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 cups chopped Nuts
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
Mix sugar, butter and vanilla. Pour part of flour over nuts. Mix all ingredients with hands and roll into balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet approximately 30 minutes at 325. Roll in powdered sugar while hot. Do not bake too brown.
Roll balls tight and small.
Aunt Dee uses black walnuts and uses 2 1/2 or 3 cups of nuts instead of 2 cups.
Be sure to chop the nuts before they are measured. All measurements are level. Use real butter. They are better a couple of days after baking.
I use pecans and roll the nut balls about 3/4 inch. (I have made the balls and refrigerated them for 2 days before baking)
