  • 1/2 cup egg whites - about four
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups flaked coconut

Preparation

Step 1

In mixing bowl, beat egg whites and salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating until tiff peaks form, about six minutes.

Beat in vanilla.

Fold in coconut.


Drop by rounded tsp fuls 2 inches apart onto lightly greased baking sheets.

Bake at 325 for 20 minutes or until firm to touch.

Remove to wire racks to cool.
