Chocolate Mint Shamrock Milkshakes

Ingredients
- Vanilla ice cream (2-3 cups, depending on desired thickness)
- 1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Milk as desired for consistency (I used about 1/2 cup)
- 10 drops liquid green food coloring, optional
- Whipped cream and maraschino cherry, for garnish
- NOTE~ You could substitute Andes mint chips for the semi-sweet, and reducing or omitting the extract. (Could even use Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream.)

Preparation
Step 1
Add the milk to a measuring cup then stir in the peppermint extract and food coloring; transfer mixture to a blender. Add ice cream and mini chips and whup away!! (Scrape down sides of blender and add a dab more milk if too thick.)
Pour into 2 glasses and garnish with whipped cream and a cherry. Serve immediately. Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
