By sandiB2010
This is a traditional Irish coffee recipe. A little sweet (but not too much) and served with just a dollop of fresh whipped cream.

Ingredients
- 1 cup hot coffee, freshly brewed
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 jigger (1 1/2 ounce or 3 tablespoons) irish whiskey
- 1 heavy cream, slightly whipped just until it begins to thicken
Preparation
Step 1
Fill a footed mug with hot water to preheat it, then empty. Pour piping hot coffee into the warmed glass until it is about 3/4 full. Add brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Mix in irish whiskey. Top with a collar of slightly whipped heavy cream by pouring it gently over the back of spoon. Serve hot.
