PB2

By

One serving ( 2 Tablespoons dry) of PB2: 45 calories, 1.5 g fat, 5 g carbohydrates, 5 g protein, 2 g fiber, 94 mg sodium
In my opinion, PB2 is for dipping, spreading and mixing – not for spooning.

Preparation

Step 1

2. Mix 3 tablespoons of PB2 with plain Greek yogurt. Dip apples, celery, carrots, bananas, pretzels or whatever else floats your boat.

3. Add 2-3 tablespoons of PB2 to your smoothie. In order to get a smoothie to taste like peanut butter, you have to add 2-3 tablespoons of regular PB (300+ calories). When you swap regular PB with PB2, you’ll be adding only 85 calories and the same delicious taste – not a bad tradeoff.  Here are

4. Make PB2 and banana “frozen yogurt”. Mash 2-3 small bananas in a ziplock bag and toss ‘em in the freezer. When your froyo craving hits, throw the frozen banana mash into the blender or food processor, add 2-3 tablespoons of PB2 and hit the ON button. Wah-lah!

5. Add it to your overnight oats or morning bowl of oatmeal. Stay tuned for my favorite overnight oats recipes.

Mix with water to make a creamy paste. Phenomenal low fat alternative to regular PB.

Awesome in a protein shake as well.

A cup of unsweetened almond milk, 2 tbsp pb2 plain or chocolate, 1 scoop of whey isolate protein powder! Wonderful low sugar high protein shake.

In the morning, when I feel like I need a few extra doses of protein, but don’t have a lot of time, I like throwing a tablespoon or two of PB2 and a tablespoon or two of vanilla protein powder on my cereal. I also love using PB2 for Asian dishes that are peanut flavored, or just toss a bit in some ramen for poor gal’s Asian food lol. I’ve added a tsp or two to chili to give it some depth. I’ve used it in baking too. I’ll sometimes replace some flour with PB2 or add a few teaspoons to give some depth. I love making extra peanut buttery peanut butter cookies with them. It’s amazements.

I love slicing an apple and add one table spoon of PB2 to a ziplock bag. Add your Apple slices, shake, let the natural apple juices wet the PB2, then enjoy!

Sometimes when I want an apple as dessert, I add a teaspoon of stevia for extra sweetness.

PB2, bananas, almond milk smoothie. If I’m craving chocolate I add in a couple of teaspoons of cocoa powder.

I add 2 tbsp powered peanut butter to I cup plain greek yogurt with 2 tsp sugar free chocolate jello mix and 1 tsp mini chocolate chips tastes like cookie dough yum!
