Ingredients
- 4 1/2 pounds beef brisket
- 12 ounces beer or ale
- 3/4 cup A1 Sweet and Tangy Steak Sauce
- 1 medium red onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons thyme
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 2T cold water

Preparation
Step 1
PLACE meat in large roasting pan. Mix ale or beer, steak sauce, onion, brown sugar, and thyme; pour over meat. Cover pan with foil. Bake at 350 for 2 1/2 to 3hours or until fork tender. Remove brisket; set aside.
SKIM Fat from cooking liquid and place in small saucepan. Heat to a boil; stir in cornstarch mixture. Cook and stir until mixture thickens and begins to boil. Slice brisket and serve with warm sauce.
