Potluck Meatballs

Ingredients

• 1 egg, beaten
• 2/3 c. soft bread crumbs
• 1/2 c.grated onions
• 1 t. salt
• 1/2 t. allspice
• 1/4 t. pepper
• 1 lb. ground beef
• 1 T. cornstarch
• 1 can condensed beef consomme

Preparation

Step 1

In a bowl, combine first six ingredients; add beef and mix well. Shape into balls. In a skiller ove rmedium heat, brown meatballs, drain. Transfer to a greased 1 1/2 qt dish. Combine the cornstach and consomme until smooth; add to skillet. Bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. Boil 2 minues or until thick. Pour ove meatballs. Bake uncov ered at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
