Ingredients

  • 1 envelope pizza yeast
  • 3/4 C hot water 105 Fahrenheit
  • 1 T sugar
  • 1 t salt
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 2 C flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine yeast and water and stir well to dissolve all yeast, let stand for 5 minutes.

Combine all remaining dry ingredients in a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook and mix until well blended. While the hook is running add the oil and yeast. Add the yeast slowly by dripping down the sides. You will need to scrape down the sides of the bowl and dough hook.

If too dry add a few drops of water, if too wet add 1 T flour at a time until it is no longer sticky. Place the mix master bowl in the oven set to proof for 45 minutes. Take the bowl out and punch down the dough. Place it back in the oven for 15 minutes or until it doubles in size and punch it down again. Place the bowl on the counter, it will rise again a third time from the residual heat from the oven..
