  • 1 1/2 cups BOILING water
  • 1 cup UNCOOKED * QUICK-COOKING OATS
  • 1/2 cup SOFTENED butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup FIRMLY PACKED brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 3/4 cups ALL PURPOSE flour
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Step 1

POUR BOILING WATER OVER OATS. SET ASIDE.
CREAM BUTTER AND GRADUALLY ADD SUGAR AND BROWN SUGAR.
ADD EGGS ONE AT A TIME BEATING WELL AFTER EACH. ADD VANILLA AND BEAT WELL.
COMBINE FLOUR, SODA, SALT, AND CINNAMON. GRADUALLY ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE AND BEAT WELL.
STIR IN OAT MIXTURE. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 1 HOUR ODONE.
LET COOL 10 MINUTES AND REMOVE TO WIRE RACK TO COMPLETLY COOL.
