Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup milk
• 2 eggs, separated
• 3 cups flour, sifted
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 3 tsp confectioners sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolks and salt. Add milk alternately with flour and baking powder which have been sifted together. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Spread in greased jelly-roll pan and sift confectioners sugar and cinnamon over the top. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes and then cut into squares.
