Ingredients

  • Bottom layer:
  • One pie crust...traditional flaky or graham cracker
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Tb butter
  • 2-3 tsp water
  • 1/4 cup 10x sugar
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 12 oz cool whip
  • Top layer:
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Tb butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp corn syrup
  • 2-3 tsp milk

Preparation

Step 1

You can't rush this pie...needs time to cool.
-Prep pie crust of choice.
-Mix and melt ingredients for bottom layer.
-Spread mixture into bottom of crust.
-To start the filling, melt the butter and mix in brown sugar.
-Cook long enough to dissolve sugar.
- Let this cool for 10 minutes.
- Once this has cooled...beat peanut butter and brown sugar mixture on med-high for 1 minute.
-Fold in 12oz of cool whip or whipped cream.
- Pour into shell and refrigerate while preparing the top layer.
-Mix and melt ingredients for top layer.
-Spread mixture on top of pie.
-Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
