How to make Palak Paneer - Palak Paneer Recipe
In Indian households Palak and Paneer is famous combination and people make it in their own styles. Some may boil the spinach some may not. Some people fry the paneer and some may not. Every one has its own taste bud but one thing is common and that is palak and paneer.
Today I’m cooking it for my Punjabi guests and I’m sure they are going to love it. Punjabi’s generally add ghee in it, but I’m going to make it in oil and rest of ingredients are same which they use.
How to make Palak Paneer Recipe:
Clean and wash palak in normal running water. Add little bit of oil and keep on gas to boil. Drain water, leave to cool and grind into smooth puree.
In a deep pan heat oil or butter. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies. Saute well. Add chopped onions and tomatoes.
Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and cook on low flame until oil separates and nice color of gravy come.
Add spinach puree and mix well, add 1/2 cup of water if required, in this way palak will not get burnt. Cover the pan and cook for five minutes on low flame.
Check seasoning and add sugar or honey accordingly. Now add jeera powder and garam masala powder. After continuous stirring for a couple of minutes, add cubes of paneer and lime juice.
Finally add fresh cream and mix slowly. cook for 3-4 minutes and serve hot with jeera rice or naan.
Paneer can be fried before adding into palak.
If fresh cream is not available then you can add curd. The taste will be good, You just need to give it a creamy texture.
