Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 c. converted rice
  • 1 can beef broth or chicken broth
  • 1 can water
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 green bell peppers, coarsely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. minced dried onion
  • 1 jar diced pimiento, drained

Preparation

Step 1

1. Brown beef in vegetable oil in skillet.

2. Stir in onion, rice, broth, water and soy sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook over low heat until liquid is absorbed, about 25 minutes.

3. Stir in peppers and pimiento. Cook another 5-10 minutes.

*If mixture gets too dry, add a little more water during cooking
