Crispy Peanut Butter Chocolate Treats

• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
• 1 1/2 cups chunky peanut butter
• 6 cups crisp rice ceral
• 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet chocolate morsels

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook first 3 ingredients in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until blended and mixture begins to bubble, REmove from heat.

2. Combine cereal and chocolate morsels in a large bowl. Stir in the hot peanut butter mixture until combined. Spread the mixture into a 13- x 9 inch pan lined with heavy-duty aluminum foil lightly coated with cooking spray. Cool completely cut into bars. Store in an airtight container up to 3 days.

NOTE: For testing purposes only, we used Rice Krispies cereal.
