Grilled T-Bone Steaks

By

"This is an excellent marinade for any steak. The flavor is just wonderful. Our T-bones came out perfect. Very tender with a wonderful flavor. The original recipe is from TOH with some changes to suit our taste. Prep time does not include the time it takes to marinate the steaks."

Preparation

Step 1

In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the first 11 ingredients.
Add steaks. Seal the bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate overnight, turning as often as you can. (I actually marinated my for a day and a 1/2.).

Drain and discard marinade. Grill steaks, over high heat for about 5 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees, medium, 160 degrees, well-done 170 degrees).

REVIEWS:

Wow.. this was a great marinade, probably the best T bone steak I've ever had. Substituted low sodium Dales marinade for the soy sauce. I only marinated 2 hours but cant wait to try again and marinate over night..

I forgot to rate this 2 weeks ago, shame on me! This is the ultra ultimate steak marinade ever. Going to grill out tomorrow to start off our summer vacation. Two T-Bones and a skirt steak for the dog! We shared with our dog last time....but never more, this is just too good to share! lol...:) But I am going to send it on to friends and family, so they may also enjoy. I'm thinking about trying it out on some pork ribs too, I'm sure they will be just as good.

Short & Sweet....you deserve an AWARD for this marinade. WOW WEEEEE! Have used this recipe EVERY SINGLE week! Never gets old. Yum Yum Yum!! Thanks!!

This was a GREAT tasting steak. You will NOT make them any other way after this. Great recipe!!!

Nice. Enjoyed this and it was nice change to our regular way of grilling steaks. Thanks for posting. It's a keeper.

We made this last night for our supper and we loved it. I put the marinade together around 10:00 am and let it sit in fridge for around 8 hrs. and the flavor went throughout the steaks. We loved them and DS even pronounced he doesn't need ketchup!!! We will use this recipe all summer long thank you so very much for sharing this wonderful marinade recipe with us, it truly does make the steak fork tender.

Great flavor. Even if I only marinated for 4 hours, it was very good. Served with Summertime Grilled Onions and Italian Marinated Cauliflower and Broccoli Salad.

This is similar to my usual steak marinade, this one has a few extra ingredients which I though really improved the flavor.I used this for T-Bones and let it marinate for 24 hours.Instead of the red wine vinegar I used balsamic.I also only used 1/4 cup soy sauce but added 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce too.The steaks were so tender and tasty.

This is the BEST Marinade for ALL types of beef. I even make some up and take it with me camping. All the other campers were jealous when they smelled our steaks barbecuing.

I am a born and bred Alberta girl and I know good beef! I am very particular on how to cook it (always blue rare) and rarely marinate or even add many spices. HOWEVER, this is fantastic!!! I will use this again for sure. Our t-bones were very very tender and flavorful, but not over-flavored, so we could enjoy the beef. I made this exactly as listed and marinated it for about 21 hours. Absolutely delicious. Enjoyed this with Mushrooms in Cream and New Potatoes with Vinaigrette.

I made this for me and my bf and we loved it.Omitted the hot sauce for personal taste.Great steak with a wonderful taste. Thanks!

My steak was in the marinade all day. I omitted the hot sauce because of my son. The steak had a very good taste. It was tender.

What a awesome recipe. Made this for Father's Day. You know when you have a good steak when they melt in your mouth and the family puts the steak sauce down, due to "these are so good without any steak sauce"! The flavor speaks for itself. Thanks for the posting. This is Top of the list in marinades!

"Are you ready for a throwdown?" Bobby Flay has nothin' on these delicious steaks. Made for Everyday Is a Holiday.

Really nice flavors in this marinate. I don't like my marinated too sweet so I also cut back on the brown sugar. It was perfect for us. I cooked the marinate and then made it into a gravy. I know most throw out their marinade but I figure if you cook the meat to kill any bacteria then you can do it with your marinade too. Cause, this marinade made a fabulous tasting gravy.

Very good. Only marinaded for about 6 hours and everyone said the steak had a great flavor. Will use again.

Yes, this is awesome marinade for steaks! DH was in absolute heaven during dinner. I only marinated for a day as I forgot to do them the night before. No matter. I would even double the recipe next time because this steak would be awesome on a salad or in a sandwich. Needless to say, there weren't any leftovers this time!

OMGoodness! That marinade is without a doubt the best one I've ever tried! I ended up marinading the steaks for 2 days. We prepared 4 large steaks and had some left over so I refrigerated it. I was delicious the next day!! Oh, this is incredible!!

Wow!!! Great marinade!! I made the marinade in the morning and let it marinate all day. My steak, I used a ribeye, was so tender and juicy, despite me liking my steak medium well done.

This is an ouTstanding marinade! Lately we have been staying away from soy sauce based marinades because we find them to strong. This combination of flavors balances out the strong taste of the soy sauce. Also liked the little smokey flavor the chipotle hot sauce gave our steaks. Next time I think we will increase the garlic a bit. This is a marinade that we will use again, thanks so much for sharing this recipe!

We loved the marinade. Used it for our first grill out of the year. I've added this to our "family" recipe collection. Thanks for posting it.

Wonderful steaks - we made the amount of marinade listed but used it for three huge steaks. Thanks for sharing this keeper recipe which we will be having again this summer!

This marinade was outstanding. I used it on ribeyes and vegetables and they were both wonderful. Great flavor and very moist.

Oh yummy! Full of flavor - nice and savory - perfect! I left out the sugar (I never add sugar to anything but dessert recipes) and used balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar. We used Rib steaks just because those looked good at the butchers. Our company wanted to know what time dinner was tomorrow night!

We don't usually put anything on our steaks but a little seasoning when we grill them so I almost did not pick this recipe. But when I saw it listed as one of the Best Recipes of Zaar World Tour 3 I decided to make it. This is truly a delicious marinade! Slightly sweet with flavors that really complemented the grilled steak! The steak marinated in my refrigerator for two days. This recipe is a keeper and is marvelous!!!!

I used this marinade for my boyfriend's special birthday dinner. I think the flavor was perfect. It was a blend of sweet, tangy with the perfect touch of spice. I will be using this recipe again. I highly recommend this recipe.

This was one of the best T-Bone steaks that I have had at home. It was so good that I am having it again next weekend

Fantastic, better than a restaurant! I loved the combination of seasonings with the vinegar and oil. Simply Delish. Will definitely make again for my meat loving family ;) Thanks for sharing!

This is a really good marinade. I recommend letting your steak marinate for at least 24 hours. I have had problems in the past with T-Bone steaks punching holes in plastic bags so now I just marinate the steak in a shallow glass dish, flipping it at least once.

Absolutely Fantastic! Used marinade for rib eye steaks and chicken!

Absolutely delicious. I followed the recipe exactly. I thought it would be too tangy with both lemon and vinegar but it is not at all. My steak came out moist, tender and the sauce is to die for. I don't have a grill so I cooked the steaks on the stove top. Then the last few minutes, I add the rest of the marinated sauce and bring it to a quick boil. Serve.

This marinade rocks!...look no further. This goes directly into my Best of the Best cookbook.

Outstanding! I made as posted but let marinade for 48 hours. The steak was so tender and delicious. DH didn't need any steak sauce with this one. Thanks for posting.
