Ingredients
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 egg

Step 1
Mix together, roll pastry and cut into squares. Peel and core 6 apples. Mix 1 cup sugar, 1 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup butter and fill cavity of apple. Put one apple on each square of dough and then fold dough up around apples. Pour mixture over them. Bring to boil 1 cup sugar, 2 cup water, 2 tbls butter, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup red hots and then pour over dumplings in pan to bake.
