Ingredients
- Torte:
- 1.25 C unsalted butter
- 20 oz semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 T vanilla liquer
- 6 large eggs
- Glaze:
- 1/3 C heavy cream
- 1/3 C semisweet chocolate

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Melt chocolate and butter in double boiler. Stir until smooth, remove from heat, add coffee liquer. In medium bowl, beat eggs. Set the bowl over a pan of simmering water and whisk the eggs until they are warm, about 3 min. Remove from the heat and beat the eggs until light and tripled in volume, abt 3-5 min. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a large bowl and add 1/4 of the eggs. Mix thoroughly. Gently fold the remaining eggs into the chocolate. Transfer immediately to a prepared springform pan. Bake 18 min in water bath.
