Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 lb chuck roast
  • 1 Tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup A1
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 6 medium new potatos
  • baby carrots
  • onion, quartered
  • 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix

Preparation

Step 1

Brown in oil & butter. Add ingredients except carrots, potatos & onions. Cover & cook on low 2 1/2 hours. Add potatos, carrots & onions & cook until tender
OR
brown in skillet with oil & butter. Place in crockpot with all ingredients except potatos, carrots & onions. Cook on low all day adding potatos, carrots & onions for last 2 hours.
