Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons minced shallot
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons brandy
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

1. Saute shallot in butter about 2 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute.

2. Add mushrooms-salt and pepper. Cook about 6 minutes. Increase heat and cook until almost all of the liquid evaporates.

3. Add brandy, cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in flour. Cook until smooth. Add milk, simmer 7 minutes.

4. Add sour cream. Heat through.
