Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon serrano pepper, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 12 ounces ground turkey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped shallot
  • 1/2 cup fresh mint
  • 1/2 head cabbage, halved

Step 1

1. Combine zests-red pepper.

2. Saute turkey and shallots in oil 5 mins, or until done, stirring to crumble.

3. Drizzle with juice mixture, sprinkle with mint. Serve with cabbage leaves to make "wraps".

This was really quite good. Not as good as the other recipe I've made, but really good, easy, and incredibly healthy. Omitted the oil used to brown the turkey (and didn't need it), used onion instead of shallot, and sprinkled with dried mint instead of using fresh. Also served with whole wheat penne instead of cabbage leaves and left out the serrano for Macy's sake (who of course didn't eat it anyway). Would be great with those additions. Served with a cucumber, grape tomato, and avocado salad. Perfect addition.
