Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (16 oz. cans) tomatoes (makes 4 cups)
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Dried oregano or sage
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 cup water (or less if desire thicker sauce)

Step 1

In large skillet, cook onion in hot olive oil until tender. Add meat and garlic; brown lightly. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf and serve with spaghetti noodles.
